The family of the late Rodney Smith wish to express their sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with them during their recent sad bereavement. We greatly appreciated all your support through prayer, kind messages, sympathy cards, telephone calls, visits and providing food.
Thanks to all those who attended the funeral and sent donations in lieu of flowers. Special mention to our Kilfennan Presbyterian Church family who have supported us through this difficult time. We are especially grateful to all who provided refreshments afterwards and to all who organised in any way for the service.
A special thanks to the Rev Rob Craig and the Rev Russell Edgar for their visits to Rodney both at home and in hospital and for Russell who conducted the funeral service.
We would also like to thank the medical teams both in Belfast City and Altnagelvin, the Marie Curie team, the palliative care team and Riverfront Medical. To the district nurses, Fiona and Linda, and the dietitians, we wish to express our deep gratitude for giving support and care to Rodney above and beyond your duty.
Sincere thanks also to David & Ruth Hay and Sons Funeral directors for the professional, caring and dignified manner in which they carried out the Funeral arrangements.
