Christy (Pixie) GILLESPIE
The Gillespie Family and partner Martina, of the late Christy (Pixie) Gillespie, wish to sincerely thank those who provided care, comfort and support to them following their recent bereavement.
A heartfelt thank you to the Oncology Team at the Cancer Unit in Altnagelvin Hospital, the doctors and nurses of Ward 22, the district nurses of Dr Dean and Dr Sweeney's surgery and the doctors and nurses of the Foyle Hospice for caring for Christy with such care and compassion.
A heartfelt thank you to his close friends who supported Martina, Christy and the Gillespie Family in the hospital and at the Foyle Hospice. Martina would like to thank her family and close friends for their help and support throughout Christy’s illness.
We are very grateful to his extended family and friends for their help and support throughout the wake.
Thank you to all who called at the house, who so generously donated food, sent flowers, letters, Mass cards, who posted tributes on social media and donated to the Foyle Hospice.
Thank you to all who travelled from near and far to attend the wake and the funeral.
Thank you to Fr Michael McCaughey and Fr Sean O’Donnell for their blessings and prayers and for celebrating the beautiful Requiem Mass. Thank you to everyone who took part in the Mass in anyway.
Thank you to the staff at W J O’Brien & Son Funeral Directors, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, who carried out their duties with efficiency and sensitivity.
Christy’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Brigid’s Church, Carnhill on Saturday 28th October 2023 at 6 pm.
